Regulations and Measures for the Implementation of Financial Internship and Employment for International Students

1、 Internship requirements

  1. Internship Unit Selection: International students should choose financial  institutions that match their professional background and have a good  reputation for internships, such as banks, securities companies, fund companies, insurance companies, etc.

  2. Internship period: The internship period is usually not less than three months, but the longest cannot exceed one year. The specific duration should be determined based on the requirements of the internship unit and the academic arrangements of  the students.

  3. Internship content: The internship content should be closely related  to the student's professional direction and course requirements, including but not limited to financial analysis, risk assessment, investment strategy, product design, etc.

  4. Internship Report: After the internship, students are required to submit a detailed internshipreport, which includes an introduction to the internship unit, the internship process, the knowledge and skills learned, and internship insights.

2、 Employment requirements

  1. Employment Unit Selection: International students should prioritize choosing  financial institutions with international perspectives, a wide range of  business scope, and a complete employee training system when choosing  employment units.

  2. Employment preparation: Before employment, students need to fully prepare,   including understanding the latest trends in the job market, improving professional skills and language abilities, and accumulating internship  experience.

  3. Employment Agreement: Students should sign a formal employment agreement  with the employer, clarifying the rights and obligations of both parties,  including job content, salary and benefits, working hours, work location, etc.

  4. Career planning: Students should develop long-term career plans, clarify their career goals and development directions, and continuously improve their comprehensive qualities and professional skills.

3、 Implementation Measures

  1. School support: Schools should provide internship and employment  guidance services for finance majors, including internship unit  recommendations, employment information dissemination, resume preparation,  and interview skills training.

  2. Enterprise cooperation: Schools should establish close cooperative  relationships with financial institutions, jointly carry out internship and employment projects, and provide students with more practical  opportunities and employment resources.

  3. Student autonomy: Students should actively participate in  internships and employment activities, consciously abide by internship and  employment requirements, and continuously improve their comprehensive  quality and professional skills.

  4. Feedback mechanism: Schools and enterprises should establish a feedback mechanism to regularly evaluate and provide feedback on student internships and employment situations, in order to adjust internship and employment strategies in a timely manner.
